Access Ripnas by Web Browser

Hi all,
I'm trying to access my Ripnas remotely to be able to reboot when problems arise - went to http://ripnas:5800 as suggested in the manual - after sorting a Java security warning I am presented with a page asking for VNC authentication password - this is NOT my normal ripnas password so I'm at a loss - anyone any idea if I can actually do this?
