This file type (.M4B) isn't a valid extension in dbpowerAMP and I wasn't able to locate anything in Codec Central about it. Any help would be appreciated.

I have installed the codec needed. Now when I try converting a m4b file I ge the error that the orginal file is corrupt.

No, as everything says it is an unrecognizable file extension

Certain m4b files can be encryted if purchased from itunes music store.
