REQ: iPod 5g + Video Support

Just getting an early start since I've got one on the way :smile2:

Of course video conversions is probably no where on the roadmap but thats not a problem. I think support to copy pre-converted videos to the propery directory and update the database would be nice (almost required), this way itunes still wouldn't be required to make full use of the iPod (except for album art still).

I also put 5th Gen support down just in case the database format changed with the added functionality.

I'll let you know if the current module will work, and I can send a sample of the database containing both music and videos if you need.

It is likely that the database Sveta writes will with a 5g, it will just be missing those extra 5G features.

Yeah, I just gave it a try and haven't had any trouble with music yet.
Sveta displays videos on the ipod that I put there through itunes, but crashes when I try to add a video.

So currently missing capabilities from sveta:
Copy videos
Album Art
Lyrics (Haven't actually tried though)
Set custom file extensions for smart transcoding

Indeed, video support is a must now that 5g is on the markets.

We all miss it in Sveta :blush:

It would be nice to be allowed to transfer my ipod-encoded (with Videora for example) to my ipod 5g, by sveta.

Does anyone know if this functionality is in the works?

I have a problem that it shows all my music as being video files. I don't know why.

Did you download the fix for 5G iPods here: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/sveta-portable-apple.htm ?

Also, I don't know if adding Video support is in the works or even being considered.
