I download my book with the Audible download manager, they are .aa files. Then I used Sveta to copy them over to my iPod. The iPod does not see them. I was hoping I could use them as the .aa files so I would have the bookmark feature.
Am I missing something here, like I have to use Audible download manager and download right to ITunes, then upload with ITunes to my iPod to get the files to be seen and work?
I HATE ITunes and hope to NEVER use it. That's why I bought Sveta. Hope someone can please guide my correctly here.
Thanks in advance.

Have you configured dbpoweramp to recognize .aa files (installed direct show codec, etc, etc?), otherwise the files will be uploaded with 0:00 length and the iPod will not play.

First off thanks very much for the reply. Yes I did the with the direct show codex, did the .aa change in text file, etc. Files were uploaded as full size.
Just for the heck of it I installed ITunes at work and uploaded the .aa files to the ITunes lib and moved it over to my iPod and it worked just fine. That was right after Itunes deleted all my files - good thing I had a nice backup with Sveta before that.
Anyway, if you know it works, then I must be missing something. I'll try again from here at work. Do I need to convert the .aa audible.com files to .aac prior to uploading? I'm sure I don't, after checking the file with Itunes, it was reported as an Audible file type, meaning .aa.
Thanks again!!

One thing regarding Audible files: Are there any bookmarks in the file? This has been reported to mess up Audible conversions. See here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=8981

If you look at an Audible file uploaded with Sveta in the length field does it give the right length?
Worst case would be to convert to aac.

Yes, the size is correct. Just an FYI, I noticed that anopod has created an Audible plugin to handle the issue, might be something that is needed here too.
Anyway, for now, if I need to convert to .aac, then just use the MP4 codec? Convert to mpa, then I think I'll need to rename that converted file to mpb, so it is bookmarkable.

Actually, I believe the extension is m4b as opposed to m4a. Your thinking of the other extension that is mp4.
Do note that the AAC and MP4 codecs are two separate things. See here at the bottom: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mp4.htm
