Just got the Cowon Iaudio X5L and I installed the Generic Device driver because it shows up in explorer. Sveta does NOT detect the player (or drive) when I try to add the device.
Any help is appreciated.

From Sveta Add devices, click 'Advanced' and a few screens in you get an option to 'List all Drives'

I have a new Cowon Iaudio X5 60GB. I'm a newbee to anything but WMP10 on XP Home, and I have always used lossless - I have over 20 GB of audio in this format.
I've looked around the web, and dbPowerAmp seems to have the complete package for what I want to do. I'm about to get started, but I did not see drivers listed for my Cowon Iaudio X5 60GB, although this thread seems to indicate that it is supported.
1. is it? 2. where can I find a tutorial - I don't even know what questions to ask yet! Spent some time on the FLAC site, and plan to go with it for everything. I would hate to invest days into converting my audio, ripping the rest of my CDs, loading up the X5, only to find out that I missed something key and had to start over.
thanks for any direction you can give me.

I just read your (Spoon) startup info pages - can I go with Monkeys Audio on both my PC and X5? Or, would Monkeys Audio on the PC and FLAC on the X5 be better, using the dbPowerAmp tools, with automatic conversion?

The Cowon is supported via the "Generic Device Driver" for Sveta. Please read its help files so that the music goes into the right directory.
Also, since the X5 doesn't support Monkey's Audio, you should go with FLAC on the player. What you have on your computer itself is irrelevant. dMC will convert Monkey's to FLAC when you send it or just send the FLAC files as-is.
