Hi-

Do you plan on supporting SonicBlue's Rio Riot soon? RealOne player that you have to use to transfer to the Riot is such a pain. Thanks.

SONICblue have created totally new drivers for the Riot, it will be awhile before someone figures it out.

Just received the following from SonicBlue Support:

"Dear Valued Customer,

There is not an alternative at this point. I would expect the software at www.dbpoweramp.com will have a plug in fairly soon."

Anything new to report on this? RealOne is sueless.

Thanks

Add me to the list who'd like to see drivers to support the Rio Riot.

Anyone tried MoodLogic that also comes with the RioRiot? That things transfer as well and in fact it fixes the artist name and song title of each song as it transfer to the Riot so that you do not have Unknown and Miscellaneous and actually can see what songs you have on there. I ditched Real One when I installed MoodLogic right away. They charged a fee for the registration but for me it was well worth it.

That is funny, nothing is being started just yet - I have yet to get in contact with a developer at Sonicblue who is able to give any info on writing a driver - IF YOU ARE LISTENING SB - contact me!! dbpoweramp@dbpoweramp.com

I have been using the MoodLogic mix manager to transfer my songs to the Rio Riot. Absolutely flawless ... really nice software actually!

MoodLogic is not a media player so it doesn't compete with dbPowerAmp. In the contrary, MoodLogic is a media manager that works with your favorite media player, such as dbPowerAmp.

The way it works is that it downloads extensive song information from MoodLogics own metadatabase (genre, mood, tempo, release year, etc) and it can even fix your tags and filenames. Now I have consistently spelled artist-, and song names in my Riot which makes a huge difference. Only ONE way to spell the same artist and search and browse by ...

The best feature of MoodLogic is the mix creation though. You can use the MoodLogic data to create your "mellow Pop" mix or even mix around your favorite track automatically ... really cool.

Check it out at http://www.moodlogic.com and use it with dbPowerAmp ... you've got the best combo out there ...

Cheers,

Mark

I have a question to Mark about MoodLogic.

I have the registered version of ML, and its great, but dBpowerAMP doesn't work with it. Can you tell me how your file associations are set up?

Thats where the problem seems to be.

Thanks A Million!

I would also like to know if their will be future support for the Riot. Real one software is crap and I really don't what to pay for moodlogic.

SONICblue have not hinted hey are going to release 3rd party support for the RR, so nothing on the horizon.
