how do i get protected music from a cd onto itunes?

i purchased a cd and would like to put it on my ipod/itunes, but it will not let me put protected music on?

If this is a copy-protected commercial cd, you might want to follow the suggestions here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=7418.

If this is a private cd in a protected/encrypted/drm'ed format (such as tracks burned to minidisc), you can do a search for that format in this section of the forums. There may not be a solutiion for this problem unless you can find a way to get the sound to your computer (such as using a line input) and then recording the music through dMC Auxilary Input (this process is described here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=7318 ).
