Can anyone tell me if the iAudio U2 1GB mp3player will work with Sveta?

Does the drive show up in Windows Explorer?
Moved to the Sveta section.

Sorry I didn't mention I don't have an mp3 portable just yet. The iAudio seems like a good player with quite good supported formats. Playing ogg is a plus.

As a rule if it shows up in explorer it will work with Sveta? Or likewise if it plays wma it should also show up in explorer?

If it shows up in Explorer, you can use the "Generic Removable Device" driver to have Sveta work with it.

Yes it will - at least the Iaudio G3 does, which is exactly the same thing with slightly different battery and control options. It has a few quirks - won't play Q=-1 .ogg files (but Q0 through Q7 or so is fine), and has a limit of 650 music files (and 53 folders) for latest firmware version.

I went with the G3 since swapping a new AA cell in every 25+ hours is a heck of a lot easier than finding a U2 charger halfway up a mountain.... and I plan to keep it longer than the ~3 year life of a Li-Ion internal battery.

Thanks for the reply, good to know. I hadn't given much thought to the power supply thing so I 'll keep that in mind.

The other option which completes the set (if I remember right) is the IAudio 5, which takes AAA cells instead of AA or internal rechargeable. Details, review, and all sorts of useful stuff over at http://www.iaudiophile.net (much mroe useful than the official Cowon/Iaudio sites).
