iPod Shuffle cannot be accessed?

Hello out there,

having got an intuition about what Sveta might be I wanted to give it a try uploading mp3's to my iPod shuffle (which is the only mp3-player I possess). However, I seem to make something wrong while trying to connect to the device. I use the beta-version of Sveta R5 and the suiting iPod Driver, as indicated in this thread: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=4628

But when I try to connect, I only get the error message 'No Device found'. What makes me think that this problem is not caused by Sveta, is that, when connecting the Shuffle to an USB-port, I can see it for a short while in Windows Explorer, after which it disappeares. This is at least why I can't neither access it via the Sveta 'Advanced' button in the dialog for connecting a new device.

Has anyone an idea what the reason for this problem might be?

Can you access the Shuffle via iTunes?

It is iTunes that is removing it from Windows, so either:

remove iTunes
or go into iTunes, and find the option that allows you to use the iPod as a data drive, it will stay in explorer,

but generally speaking iTunes installs programs that run all the time even though you are not using iTunes (CD Writers etc).
