Ok, I've seen many posts about copyrighted music purchased online, but my problem is that I have 200+ CDs that I have ripped in the past with a variety of tools. I'm trying to convert all of them to iTunes so I can stream them with my Airport Express. A very large number (1600+ songs) are not convertible due to WMA (DRM) copyright issues. I certainly did not choose to copyight protect them, MS did that by default.. Now MS says the only thing I can do is re-rip them. A daunting task indeed. Can anyone prove them wrong and give me some ideas? Thanks!

Either re-rip them or use Auxiliary Input. In all honesty, re-ripping is faster. Sorry.

We were recently reminded of an application called tunebite that you might want to consider. It is not a free application. But it basically facilitates the recording of music to ogg (default) or mp3 as you play it. It may be marginally faster than using dB Auxilary Input but it still rewuires you to play each song all the way through in order to re-record it. For a very large number of tunes, as LtData says, re-ripping would be preferable.
The link for tunebite is:

Just make sure you disable the automatic copy-protection in WMP!
Or, better yet, rip your CDs with dBpowerAMP Music Converter. :D
