Hello,
I am a new member to this forum and first I must say hello to everyone on this forum. I don't know how much this topic was discussed before but I have a problem with ape conversion. I have dBpowerAmp installed and everything is running fine, my brother however, is having problems with his.For some reason his dBpowerAmp is not converting any music files from Wav To APE or WAV to FLAC, it keeps coming up with some sort of temp files. He is trying to catalog his LPs and Cassette collection. He records his LP's and Cassette to the hard drive in WAV and then to save space he wants to convert the files to APE,but for some reason it is not working.both the FLAC and APE codecs are installed. His computer is running windows XP Home edition with SP1
Plz Help

First, do have the APE and FLAC dMC codecs installed?
Second, check to see if your WAV files are normal 44100Hz (44.1KHz), 2-channel, 16-bit WAV files. If they are not, convert them to such.

Could you post an example of the error message?

Is everything about dMC (all programs, codecs) installed to the same exact folder? preferably c:\program files\illustrate\dbpoweramp, as the installer first proposes.

Are you signed in as admin? this may not be a requirement for all aspects of conversions, but it may help.

Hello,
I am Very sorry for replying so late; I have fixed the problem, my brother had installed a stand alone Monkey Audio Converter version 3.99 from the monkey audio website and somehow very strangely they were conflicting each other, - I have both on my computer and they work fine on fine - I uninstalled the monkey audio 3.99 and that solved the problem.

Thanks again for replying and your Help :smile2:
