I am trying to import a large number of .wma files to my Zen Touch. I have tried using the file selector to select multiple file folders to import. I have selected convert to Zen Touch and send as. Clicking on convert brings up the converting window but the application just sits there saying converting file 1 of...

If I select convert to wma it works. Obviously I don't want to re-convert to wma.

I am using registered DMC R11.1 rc1 and Sveta PA release 4.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Try doing a test-convert on these wma files. To do this, select "Test Conversion (no write)" as your codec. This is to make sure that dMC can read your WMA files. None of them are encrypted, are they?

I tried that and the test worked fine. The files are not encrypted and i can copy them using Sveta but only a folders worth at a time. Basically everything is fine except when I use the file selector front end.

Also clicking Cancel does nothing, I have to use Taskmanager to close.

btw the files were converted to .wma using dbpoweramp.

After further testing, it would appear that if I actually DO run a conversion format things work fine. It is only using "Send as" which causes the problem.

Try using Sveta explorer with the send as is, does that copy the file?

I assume you mean directly running Sveta and using it's own interface and selecting compression "Send as is"? If so then yes the files work no prob.

I will put it down to the creative drivers which have issues, I am currently trying to update the WDM driver which will take over the creative drivers.

Ok thanks :)

I have just tried it with a Zen Micro with the same effect. Some more info - when selecting a conversion e.g. mp3 it goes through the conversion and hangs when trying to download to the player. I assume this is what is happening when "Send as" is selected as the "conversion" is instant making it look as if it has hung immediately.

It would seem as if it is the actual downloading phase has the problem. As stated all works well using Sveta explorer.
