im tryin to convert a .mp3 file to .wav at 16000khz/4bit/mono using dBpowerAMP but i cant seem to find 16000khz option anywhere in the list of formats (in both IMA ADPCM and Microsoft ADPCM) :( Would appreciate if someone could instruct me how to "enable" the 16000khz option.

Thanks!

Look at compressed wav, mpeg-layer 3 - maybe that's what you need.

ChristinaS, thank you for replying. Im tryin to convert the .mp3 to .wav to use as a ringtone on my mobile, i've read somewhere that the ideal settings are IMA ADPCM 16000khz/4bit/mono. Do you know how i can "enable" 16000khz?

Oops, sorry. Well, there appears not to be a 16KHz setting for that format. Have you tried any of them to see if they might work?

This program does not allow conversion to IMA ADPCM  . It only allows Microsoft ADPCM.

Yes, it seems so. For some reason it came out in a Google search for IMA ADPCM .

But I just found one that actually does it: http://www.download.com/Ufony/3000-2167-10259565.html?part=dl-Ufony&subj=dl&tag=button

You get a trial version first.
