I've been ripping a lot of CDs from different sources over the past year or so. None of my files say that they are copy protected (although the source files may have been). All of the music plays okay. Will I run into problems if I try to burn the files onto a CD or copy them to an mp3 player or to another computer? Will I run into problems with licenses once I hook up my computer to the internet in a couple of months? Some of the people on this forum have indicated that it is possible to circumvent copy protected CDs by looping the playback through the sound card. Is that only possible when you're downloading the files from the original CD? I'm assuming that it is...

You shouldn't have any problems with your existing files once you get the Internet. However, note that you shouldn't share these files on a file-sharing service as this IS illegal.
As for copy-protection on CDs, it can normally be bypassed but the difficulty varies on the type of protection employed.
