Hi,
I checked the codecs downloads and was unable to find one that will convert .rax to mp3, etc...

Is this available?

Thanks!
Michael

For information on .rax files please see this thread:
http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=5563&highlight=.rax

In some cases, .rax files may be unencrypted and can be converted using dBpowerAMP Music Converter (dMC) and the RealAudio Decoder codec (available from Codec Central at the top of the page, you will also need RealPlayer or RealAlternative). You may need to change the file extension from .rax to .ra or .rm. In other cases the files may be encrypted (protected against copying). In those cases, if you can play the music, you can record it off of your sound card using dMC Auxilary input or you may be able to burn these tracks to cd and then re-rip them to whatever format you like.

You will probably not be able to tell in advance whether an .rax file is encrypted or not.

Best wishes,
Bill Mikkelsen

 Just wanted to let you know that the aux input does work in this case. Just play the file through real or rhapsody and aux record to whatever format you want. You just have to listen to the file then you can do what you want with it.

...and you thought this was important enough for a nearly 2 year old thread?
