I think he's referring to the fact that the link to the codecs contains "95" and he's using Win2000. It should work on any OS from Win98 to WinXP. Note that if you have Windows Media Player 9 installed, you don't need the codecs.

I just got this message when I was trying to install db-wmfdist95.exe (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs/db-wmfdist95.exe) >"<

I'm using Win2000 with SP4 (Traditional Chinese)
but dBpowerAMP-codec-wmav91.exe (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/dBpowerAMP-codec-wmav91.exe) works fine (so far) with DMC 10.1+ previous Windows Media Audio v9 System Codecs (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codecs/db-wmfdist-wma9.exe) in the Codec Central

The db-wmfdist95.exe program is only for XP. Also WMP 10 is only for XP.
It looks like WMA 9.1 is only for WMP 10.
The question in my mind is whether you need to install WMP 10 and the system codecs and the wma 9.1 codec, or if you can get by with only WMP 10 or the system codecs (as was the case with the wma v9 codec) and the WMA 9.1 codec.
Would any one happen to know about this for certain?

I got Win XP sp2 with WMP10 ,with no WMA package codecs added, it seems that these codecs are included in WMP10.
Conversion in/from WMA on dbPowerAmp works just OK.
