recording level

Hi

when trying to record "line in" the test recording level meter never moves no matter how loud i set the volume, the prog is detecting my soundcard etc and the sound comes thru my speakers ok however nothing is getting to the recorder, any ideas.

Thanks for the reply, i only have one souncard although there are two wave convertors (one on the modem) but my input device is definately set to my soundcard, i have just a flicker of green on the volume bar but this does not alter no matter what level i play at.

Try Options >> Input Source 'Select'

make sure the right thing is checked and the volume is right up
