I'm trying to convert my digital music collections to 128kbps MP3 files. Using dMC File Selector, I selected all the folders and clicked the "Convert To" button.

Then a window popped up showing:

"Support the audio type '.avi' might be obtained at 'Codec Central', visit codec central now? (connect to internet before clicking Yes)"

Which codec is it referring to? Coz I can't seem to find one that refers to .AVI.

I have also tried removing the AVI file from the folder selection and yet, the above window would show up still.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks in advance. :komisch9:

Your music is in .avi files? Odd, I don't know of any audio format that's stored in that type of files. I was under the assumption that .avi was just video files.

What file types are the rest of the files you selected?

Anyway, that message is general, don't believe it automatically. It doesn't really know whether or not codecs exist at Codec Central.
