Trying to install downloaded driver for Rio 300 player in Win 2000. the install goes along fine and then I get error message:

error whilst running c:\program files\illustrate\dbpoweramp\svetaconfig.exe

the program completews. but I cannot find the player using the Rioport audio manager.

I had it all working under win 98 then had to switch to new win 2000 computer but lost all my software for the rio.

Any advice? Want to be able to burn new mem cards for music

First you should install Sveta, then install the Sveta Rio 300 driver to the same location.

I'm having troule with my rio 300 also. I downloaded the driver and sveta portable audio. On the website, is says to "have a look in your bios settings to select either an ECP or EPP parallel port, also for Windows NT4/2000/XP you must be logged on as an Administrator." Anyways, I don't know how to do either of those...I'm computer illiterate...which may explain why I'm still using a Rio 300!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Also, I can't get it to find my rio. When I try to add my device, it says no device found. I can't seem to select my port in the advanced add device setting also!

You are possibly not logged on as administrator if no ports can be found, in control panel there is 'user accounts' it should say what the account is. Normally ports are ecp.
