I saw on here a while back someone was having a problem with their jukebox but I can't find the thread anymore. I'm having a problem of when I start the program it hangs at retrieving files off the jukebox. I have to cntrl-alt-delete to stop the program. I can transfer files fine with windows media player but it does not list any files on my jukebox except the ones that I have transfered with wmp. I notice that after I install your program it gives me a message saying something about windows media 7.1 ..........
I'm running Windows XP with windows media player 8. Could this difference in media player versions have anything to do with the problem?
Your program looks pretty good but since I haven't got to use it yet I really don't know. I would like to try it and if it works as good as I think it will I would register it.

Funnily enough I have just purchased one of these today (you are talking about the one with the hard disc, not a nomad II), it will take a short while for it to arrive. I know Kevin has one of these, so should be able to comment on their ins and outs.

Yes I have a Nomad Jukebox C. It has a 6 gig hard drive.

I had exactly the same problem I'm afraid and never did resolve it. I hesitate to recommend other software here but I use Notmad from www.redchairsoftware.com for file transfer to and from the Nomad - it's cheap and it works.

The dMC Powerpack provides enough benefit in it's own right to make it worth registering without worrying about the SPA bit (IMHO of course).

Spoon, I'm sure you don't want to hear this but you should have gone for the NJB3 unless you got your NJB1 really cheap. There are lots of advantages not least of which is the advertised 11 hour battery life (although it appears to be about 9 in reality). JBDirect is no longer able to able to communicate with it of course which means most 3rd-party software doesn't work but Redchair has done a lot of work in this area and Notmad does.

I will look into it when it arrives ad see what I can do.

I think it was cheap, £80

Yep, that was cheap (says someone who paid £300+ when they first came out! Guess that's the drawback of a "I want my toys RIGHT NOW!" philosophy ;) )

I just tried to convert some songs to the jukebox by right clicking on the song chosing convert to. As soon as I select the jukebox to send them to, the next window opens up and then the program just hangs, but when I ctrl-alt-del it says the program is running. I let it run for what seemed a very long time and finally had to kill it. Just thought you could use this info too.

I also meant to say that in the very first post on this subject I was trying to run the sveta explorer.

Sorry I have been occupied elsewhere, I am just finishing the next beta to dAP (audio player) tonight, so should be working on the Creative Jukebox by the weekend.

Looked into it, using it through MS is a no-hoper, so I am writing a Creative driver using Creatives SDK. Whilst I am here, what features would anybody like to see added to Sveta Portable Audio to make it more compatible with items such as the Jukebox?

For myself - I will add a 'Smart Conversion' option - ie if a file is with in a certain bitrate range it will not be converted, just sent to the player - I need it to upload my entire music collection as most of my stuff is in Monkeys Audio, the rest in mp3 is fine to be uploaded as is.

The Jukebox driver is going great guns - I will be betaing it in the next few days.

I was just sitting playing with the jukebox and thought I'd drop in and see if there was any word on the new driver. :p

Good deal. I would be using the Explorer most anyway.

Please anyone with a Jukebox - go try the drivers in the beta section of this forum. I will look into why a JB 3 does not work
