will the iPod play online music other than iTunes? i have found cheaper services than iTunes but i don't know if DRM will be a problem with the software like it does with Philips DMM.
any help?

Not unless you can unprotect the audio (by burning to CD and re-ripping), then convert to say wma to mp4.

You can only burn it on say Windows Media Player (if they are WMA files).

yes, it is cheap, but I am pretty sure that it's illegal.
