What is happening to the skin creation?

It has been quite some time from DualPro and Quake 3, and they came after a longer periond since Beyond....
Has dap stoped being interesting to everyone?:(
If it stays this way than it will be probably me who will publish the next 4 skins in a row (I am working on all of them at once).
C'mon people... we would like some new skins...:cry:

i don't think so. just some are occupied with other things. i know i have been. as i would like to focus back on th skin site, but i can't right now.

OK, but still if some one is making a skin, he/she could say something.
I feel isolated right now, as I'm the only one making a skin...

I think that there should be a special thread for skiners where we could talk about tricks we have found out, help new skiners and help each other out, too.

and I meant "Has skining DAP stoped being interesting to everyone?" not DAP itself ( I think that DAP will never stop being interesting:))

I have been considering trying my hand at skin creation for DAP. I have never created a skin in my life and I have the artistic talent of a blind quadriplegic so I am not sure how well I will do.

When I first looked at the how--to's for DA skin creation it seemed a little complicated. Is it easier than my initial evaluation suggested?

I'd like to try it. The result will undoubtedly be ugly but I would still like to try.

Yes it is easier than it seems, although there are some boring parts...
Dont worry about the artistic talent, it will develope in the skining direction.
if you decide to try to make a skin, first make the skin in your mind than make it in the skin designer. I am sure that if you ask any skiner on the forum for, help you will get a right anwser.
even if your first skin comes out "ugly", your next skin will be much beter (expirience is gained faster than in Diablo 2).

and before making your skin try checking out how others look in skin designer it might help.
Skin designers are always welcome :thumbup:

Thanks. I feel a little better about going into it now. I'm going to give it a go and see how well I do. I will do anything I can do to contribute to DAP. DAP and DAC changed my digital audio world. It's is hands down some the best software of any type I have ever used and I want to support it any way I can.
