Hi All,
Todays my first day of using dbpowerAMP. I tried ripping a cd, but it wouldnt work. It gave me this message:
CODEC decompression error for '\\CdRom\Track01.cda'
Unable to Rip track - make sure correct Ripping method is selected and CD Drive supports digital audio extraction.
I tried ripping some other cds, and that worked fine. Its just this particular cd thats giving me problems. Am i doing something wrong here?

I've never had that before, may be that CD has some kind of security on it. It sounds to me to be more CD problem than a program problem though.

hey ferris,
thanks for the reply. im using winxp. yeah, i figured out it was some sort of copyright protection. i tried using the "marker method," and also tried holding the left shift button down before/during/after putting in the cd. didnt work. i finally got this cd to rip using cd manipulator, which took about 6 hours. now im left with a .wav file thats over 2.5 gigs. what the hell? anyways, any help is appreciated. by the way, that link doesnt work :(

Cool, now you ought to be bale to use the Dbpoweramp Converter and make those wave files into mp3's. Youu should have yourself some tunes playing with no prob!
