Hi,
I'm running the latest version of Sveta Portable Audio with the iPod drivers installed. I have the newest generation 15GB iPod, PC version. My OS is Win98SE.

I can't get the iPod recognised as a drive. Plugging it in to the USB port gives the New Hardware Found dialogue box, then the Add New Hardware Wizard (which recognises it as "iPod USB Interface". Searching for the driver doesn't find anything - there don't seem to be any drivers in the Sveta directories, despite me having installed them. Help?

Now after looking around it appears the iPod is not supported on Windows 98SE, however there is hope. The iPod is just a mass storage device, you can try this driver:

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/98driver.exe

let me know how you get on (the driver is for a USB flash pen).

Didn't work, I'm afraid. Windows didn't recognise the driver as being appropriate for the iPod.

If you were to add a firewire card to your PC then the iPod would be detected.
