View Full Version : Rio device not recognized
I installed the Sveta Audio app, but Sveta was unable to detect the Rio 500. I checked my computer's device manager which recognizes the Rio driver under USB controllers. Operating WindowsXP and latest firmware and driver. Really appreciate any suggestions!

Please post the contents of:
C:\program files\illustrate\dbpoweramp\sveta-log.txt
Thank you for the reply. No entries in the sveta-log file. Any thoughts?

Sounds like the Sveta Rio 500 Driver is not installed to the same location as Sveta - redownload it, and install it once more.
Uninstalled Sveta. Redownloaded and installed. The Rio 500 is still unrecognized. Seems like the Rio driver can't be found. Would it possibly help to move the Rio driver to any specific file for Sveta to recognize it?

To check if it is there, start Sveta Add Device, click 'Advanced' and it should list the Rio 500 driver.
If not you need the Rio 500.dll in the Sveta\Devices\ folder
I moved the MDRio 500.dll to the Sveta folder, connect the Rio 500, but the device is still not recognized. Clicking the Sveta "Advanced" showed that no driver is listed. What am I doing wrong?

Needs to go in:
Illustrate\dBpowerAMP\Sveta\Devices

Oh wait...'MDRio 500.dll' this is not a Sveta driver, you can get that here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/bin/svetadrivers/SPA-Rio500.exe
Hi Spoon,
I uninstalled and reinstalled Sveta then loaded the Rio 500 driver from the link provided. I then restarted Sveta. After clicking the "Add Device" button, I received an error window with this message: "svetaconfig.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Any suggestions?

You possibly have the wrong dll there, delete the folder \dbpoweramp\Sveta
then reinstall Sveta and the Rio 500 driver (from the link above).
You're getting me very close! The Rio is now recognized, and I am able to transfer music to the device. Once transferred, the music won't play. Do I need to create a specific file structure on the device or reload firmware for compatibility with Sveta?
Apologies for miscommunicating. Some of the music files play. The music files ripped to my computer from a CD using Window's Media Player transfer to the Rio as blank files. Is there something I should do to convert the ripped files to another format for play on the Rio?
Spoon! Thank you very much! Setup is finally working with all files playing. Really appreciate your help, far greater than the drones working Rio's customer service.

Glad it is sorted and working, moving for reference to Sveta forum.
