Prvious to Release 2 when I would stop using dbAmp my multimedia keys would go back to their normal assignments. With Release 2 my volume and mute keys do not function once I close dbAmp. At minimum I need to Log off and back on.
Any suggestions?

Well if you assign diferent keys to dAP, then I think it will realease those...

A little more info.
If I do not use my volume/mute keys when dbpoweramp is running, then once closed - the keys work as expected for all other programs. However, if I DO use the volume/mute keys while playing dbpoweramp (vol/mute works fine), then when I close the program -- my keys still are unfuctional.
All keys are unassigned via the keyboard control.
Hot keys are not assigned via any other software.

You have the option of deleting 'dAPKeyControl.dll' to disable such functions.

Thanks!
That did it!
May I say that for a basically free software package I have never seen responses so quickly posted and accurately too!
db-stuff still remains my favorite!

I was having the same problem, only I'm using release 3 b5 and as suggested went to delete the dapkeycontrol dll while this problem was occuring (ie. i had run powerAMP, then closed it down). Windows (2000) complained that "the specified is being used by Windows".
Hope this helps....

I had the same problem of loosing functionality of the mm keys after using them with dAP. Renamed dAPKeyControl.dll and the problem is solved. I can use the volume, etc., in dAP as well as other apps now with no problem. Running XP Pro on an Athlon XP system with nForce 2 chipset if that will help in any way...

I am going to change that - should be easy to fix.
