View Full Version : RCA Lyra RD1075 - Playing in Order
Unregistered

I've been playing with the sveta portable audio software and really like its ease and functionality. I use both a Nomad Zen and this RCA player. My concern is a problem with the RCA device, where when songs are downloaded to the player, the play order is backwards... last one on = first one played. Is there any way to set the Sveta software to download them to the player backwards so they would play in the correct order? If so I'm going to register this software immediately.
Thanks
John

The original Lyra software does not do this?

Hi folks,
I've had the same problem with my Lyra RD1021 - it displays the track numbers in ascending order, but the actual tracks play in reverse order.
I had the same result when I drag-and-dropped files into the Lyra using Windows Explorer. The software that is supplied with my Lyra is MusicMatch Jukebox, a totally annoying piece of junk which I refuse to use, so I can't tell you if the problem exists there, too.
It begins to appear that the problem lies in the Lyra, rather than in the Sveta software. I haven't been able to find an 800 number, or any form of support at the RCA-Thompson website.
I hope somebody can enlighten us about how to fix this problem. I listen to a lot of "Old Time Radio", cut into 3-minute tracks and it's just not as much fun when the tracks play out of sequence.
Thanks,
Steve

The original firmware for this device played tracks in alphabetical order. There is a firmware upgrade at http://www.rca.com/content/viewdetail/1,,EI700528,00.html that supposedly fixes this problem.
Good luck.
