Digital o/p signal from wmp9 ?

Wonder if any one may be able to help, I have wmp lossless files and would like wmp9 to output a digital signal (AC3 ?, s/pdif ?) and pass it through usb sound card (digital coax o/p from card) straight into digital input of music amp, is this possible?

(I have an m-audio audiophile usb card that permits digital pass through, sounds fab on windvd4 (DD & DTS) with pass through enabled, but no go when try pass through with wmp9, I guess the signal is not outputed from the software)

may seem daft but have you set the sound setting in control pan. to possible pass through option?, also check through all options in player

Yes I was being daft, its working, check simple things first a!
