After downloading the player (evidently needed for conversion) all my files have been hijacked. I do not want all my audio files to open with dbpowerAMP as I have playlists already set up on WMP and found the listing process in AMP totally confusing. I tried to reassociate the files back to WMP through folders/file associations, but my music folder midi files still have AMP icons and open in AMP. Could not find a "preference or options" list anywhere.

Not on my start/programs menu. Watched it load and it had another file after "program files." Found it in Explorer under
C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP but no folder for configuration

try start/programes/dbpoweramp/configuration/file associations

Go to Start/Run

And Copy/Paste the following line (without the start and end slashes)

/"C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP\config.exe"/

It should bring up the file association dialog. Though I am not sure if it would restore the file associations to their previous application.

Maybe you should just go into WMP's options for File Association (Tools/Options/File Types) and reclaim them all into WMP, there should be a button for "Select All". But it will also associate movie files with WMP, hope it is alright with you.

Reclaiming them under WPM file types and folderoptions/file types were the first things I tried.

The new string below with the exe worked just fine. Thanks for all your help.
