VBR question

Whenever I convert an existing file via VBR, it always reaches a higher bit rate than the original file here and there... please tell me how to set the maximum bit rate when encoding VBR, thanks!

To set the max bitrate, right click (instead of left clicking) on the bitrate selection slider for the max bitrate limit you want. ;)
