Hi,
dMC is also not working correctly with the Samsung drive SH-S182D (Windows XP SP2, every CD, drive firmware is newest SB06). The only way to use it is in Windows Built-In Mode. Otherwise CDGrab crashes.
Unfortunately this mode is limited (No C2 Error Pointer and other restrictions).
dMC-Team please fix it in one of the next versions (>12.4).
Thank you.
Best regards
S.

Try starting the cd ripper in debug mode (dbpoweramp configuration >> music converter tab at the end).

Hi Mr Spoon,
I am having a similar problem where my SH203N now crashes, but my SH-16A75 works fine.
I have recently been ripping all of my audio CDs to WMA and I have two different DVDRW drives I have been using to do this. After ripping literally hundreds of CDs in the last few days with no problems, DB Power Amp now crashes if I attempt to use one of my drives (SH203N). If I use the other, it works fine. I have tried many different discs and get the same results where one always crashes. I uninstalled the version I was using (12.3) and installed 12.4 and the problem still occurs.
I can use other applications to rip from the drive in question and everything works fine. If I open cdgrab.exe and then select my SH203N, it flashes the Accurip popup and then crashes.
I disabled Accurip to see if that would change anything (it did not). It is also worth noting that it only crashes if there is a CD in the drive. If I select the drive, but do not have disc in the drive, it prompts me for a disc and does not crash until it is about to display the CD info.
I enabled debug mode and can send you the lengthy text file if you like. Thanks,
Chris

Paste the debug log here of you launching CD grab and inserting a CD into the drive.
