View Full Version : cant find an aspi driver for xp

the box that should have my cd drive is blank and i have tried to download adaptec's aspi driver but they dont work. i run install.bat xp32 form a dos prompt but none of the files are copied. the error message says "the system cannot find the path specified." when i run aspichk it says i have versoin 4.7.1.1 running on xp. what gives???
p.s. i know it is aspi trouble because i downloaded another ripping program and it told me aspi was not available...

For XP you are best not using ASPI, run Audio CD Input >> Options >> Advanced

and set the Communication to NT/2000 Built-In or the limited one if that does not work. Also make sure the correct CD drive is selected on the Options page.
