I purchased dBpoweramp earlier today and have tried several times to convert m4a to mp3, I continually receive a windows message "CoreConverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".
This happens for both bulk and individual conversions.
The file is only approx 30% converted.
Have tried at 128 up to 192 with constant bitrate
Can anyone help?
Thx

Are you forcing an encoding profile such as HE?

What CPU do you have? Are you using the normal encoder or the SSE2 encoder?

Has there been any followup to this problem?

It is likely that file was send (an apple lossless) and changes to the decoder were made (it was 1 year ago...)
