Changing bitrate on the fly before transfer

I know when i right click a playlist or mp3 i can use "Convert to" and select my drive letter there. From there i can have the bitrate resampled to a lower bitrate.

I can't seem to find out how to do this from the Portable Audio app.

All i can do is transfer the files directly, which does me no good.

Any help on this?
