Ipod not recognized

All of a sudden I am getting an error when trying to open the software it is not showing my tracks on the ipod..is says if there are tracks on my ipod to recover the files and when I try to do so nothing happens? It shows the correct amount of space that is used on the ipod but no songs show?

I saw this before, after I had been synching my iPod with iTunes for a while.

You have tried the function to search for missing audio files (do not remember the exact name).

I used Sveta's recovery function, the "Search for Lost Files" function.

When I am searching for the lost files do I click search for lost file(ipod control) or search for lost files(all ipod) also when I seem to do this than the sveta program is not responding and just freezes?

How long did you wait?

When I try the search for all ipod files lost the computer just stalls and then the program says not repsonding???

Right, but how long did you leave it "not responding" before ending it?

Probably about 7-10 mins...I have about 7,000 songs in my ipod...I just figured after I went cntrl-alt-del it was saying not responding that the program was not working and hung up??

I do show the tracks again after letting the program run for about 20 mins...the only thing is if I click on the songs tab all the songs are in the 4 letter code not the song title that I can recognize...is there a way to list the songs by the actual title and not the 4 letter code?

I remember that when I did it, it took a while, and since you had about 7,000 songs when I had about 1,400 songs, it took longer. :)
