Use of dbpoweramp Audio player with R12 converter

I see that according to the notes, the current audio player does not work with the R12 converter. Can I just convert files manually to MP3 using the dBpowramp R12 converter and play them with the current audio dB player? I have finally decided to quit Music Match and move to dBpoweramp product, but do not fully understand the incompatibility. Thanks.

Basically, install them to different directories and you will be fine. Also, get your codecs from Legacy Codec Central, not the main Codec Central. The link for Legacy is in the main Codec Central near the top.
