View Full Version : r12 and Nero mp4?

I installed r12 and the codec packages for AAC. I pointed it to the Nero command line encoder and encoded the latest CD I ripped. It created aac files (which is odd, since normally the nero program creates m4a's), then I ran it through the AAC->M4A codec. Winamp seems to be ok with the file but The Godfather is not able to tag it.

What am I doing wrong here?

Make sure you have installed the beta m4a codec, then rip to 'Nero (aac)'

I downloaded them from
http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=12005
and chose that option. It then encoded to an aac for some reason.

Did you download the top link (m4a encoder, decodes mp4, m4a, aac, etc.) or the second link, the AAC encoder. The option in the codec list for m4a is "m4a nero (aac)", where as AAC is "Advanced Audio Compression (AAC)".

I downloaded and installed both iirc. So the one I want to choose is "m4a nero (aac)"? I believe thats the one I used that gave me an aac as the output file, I know I had to tell it the location of the nero cli encoder first.

Both would ask for the location of the nero encoder.
