Hi,

I am working on my school project for University - research paper about legal aspects on DRM players.

And I would like to CREATE DRMed content (preferrably aac) with your dBpowerAMP. Is it possible? If not, does anybody know hot to do it?

A need to add DRM to my own sound file, ripping DRMed content is not good.:(

thanks, Strider

I don't know of any way to add DRM to an AAC file, though you can with Windows Media Player when ripping a CD.

hmmm.. By burning audio first to CD and them RIP it with Windows Media would give me WMA (as such or enclosed in ASF), if I'm not wrong.

But I would prefer more of a FairPlay DRM, found in Apple's AAC format.

thank you, Strider

Well Strider AFAIK, FairPlay is owned by Apple and they don't license it to anybody else or allow anybody else to use it. Opening up FairPlay to others was what all the lawsuit hoo hah was about in France a few months ago.

Don't know if there are any "open source" or other DRM alternatives out there, but you might be stuck with WMA or nothing.
