Thread split and moved to "DRM and Copy Protection" section of this forum.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any workarounds for a Mac other than a program that can record the song as you play it on your computer.

I have been trying to do the same thing without any luck. It seems that all those DRM removal programs, at least the ones I tried (iOpener, Jhymn), do not work with the newer versions of iTunes. My workaround for this was to use realplayer as default player. Realplayer will play all media formats including aac purchased music files. The only catch is rp won't burn aac protected files. This sucks for me because I also buy music from Napster which is wma protected, which realplayer is able to play and burn. So I can't use realplayer to burn both wma protected and aac protected files together. iTunes doesn't even support wma. It will try to convert it to aac when it finds it, but of course if the file is DRM protected it can't. So much for "owning" what you buy!!!
