Hi. Hopefully somebody could help me

Over the last few days, I have been having no problems in converted flac files into wav files.
Now all of a sudden they won`t convert and the following message appears.

The CODEC required to decompress ........... could not be opened.

I haven`t done anything any different

Many thanks if anybody could help.

What are the flac files specs?

What kind of wav files? and are you using the option to preserve id tags?

Thanks for your reply.

Don`t quite understand what you mean with the flac files specs.

The wave files i`m trying to convert to are the same as was previously converting OK - 16 Bit, 44100Hz, 2 `stereo`

All the settings are whatever the default ones are

I have even now uninstalled and reinstalled the power amp program

Did you check the option to preserve ID tags or not?

Saying that settings are whatever the defaults ones are doesn 't help.

Can you do a test conversion on one of those flac files?

What version of dMC do you have ?

WHat's the extension of you FLAC files? is it .fla? Might they be flash instead of flac?

Are you using Priority of conversion below Normal or Normal or Above Normal?

Many thanks again for your assistance.

The option to preserve ID tags is checked

When I try to do a test conversion, the same error message appears

The version of dmc is - dmc-r11.5 registered. It was working fine during the 30 day trial period. At the end of this period a message appeared asking me to register, which I did. The version I installed was via a link in my confirmation email.

The extension of all the files I wish to convert are .flac

I dont know how to find out what my priority conversion is.

I`ve just looked at my configurations, and the following are listed:
Installed encoders; FLAC - Release 5.3 (Using FLAC 1.1.2)[.flac]
Decoders; Installed input CODECS; FLAC input decoder .flac

Try the flac file(s) in another program, they could be corrupted.
